Our meetings are held every Wednesday afternoon (except July & August) from 1.30 to 3.00pm, in the Alistair Grant Hall in the Bridge Centre, Poldrate, Haddington. Tea and coffee are provided and most members bring a small hand-sewing project to work on. The group also has basic sewing machines, cutters, and mats available for use during the meeting. New members and visitors are very welcome - but please contact us first so we can look out for you. Remember to bring a mug!
The main Bridge Centre buildings are wheelchair-accessible and there are disabled toilet facilities. We try to organise a series of workshops, events, and outings throughout the year. Non-members are welcome to attend most of these (although there may be an additional charge, and members have preference if spaces are limited). The group has made patchwork quilts in support of various charities over the years. Our most recent group project was a floral block-of-the-month quilt which has been donated to Leuchie House, near North Berwick. Many members are also enthusiastic supporters of Project Linus. The annual subscription is £40, due at the AGM in April for 1st May. |
